George Weah...the footballer turned presidential hopeful. The political scene in Liberia was something else. Highlights included: George driving around in his Hummer, Ellen coming back and winning the second round, and George's slogan (WEAH: World's Best, Europe's Best, Africa's Best and Head of State). Oops... I was amazed at the commitment of Liberians in the voting process. Truly remarkable - people lined up from 3am and waited for 8-12 hours in the hot sun to mark the ballot. In Canada I don't want to wait for more than 20 minutes.
