The Bong Mines: this is a fav site to visit on the weekends. You can climb around in silos and throw rocks (mostly the guys are into this part of it), you can climb around in rusting steel structures, climb around in a tunnel with a giant iron ore crusher next to you and bats flying centimeters from your head. The best part though is the lake that we cliff jump into. I am not a big fan of mining, but there are some positive (self rewarding) aspects to large scale mining. (photo: stephanie hubbard)
