These are the men who fly us from Monrovia to sites around the country. It is a great service provided by UNMIL (UN Mission in Liberia), and there are even moments of entertainment provided free of charge. For instance, one time the guy gave us the emergency briefing. Basically he mumbled something in Ukrainian as we all looked up at him in nervous confusion. He suddenly kicks the door and yells "exit!" then he looks over at the window, hits it hard and yells "exit!" As he sits down he exclaims: "have a nice flight!"

One question remained: when do you pass out the peanuts and soft drinks?
